Terms of the free "Legal Geek Content" Service
§ 1 Introduction
Legal Geek provides the User with the Legal Geek Content service free of charge. As part of the Service, Legal Geek provides the User with access to educational materials prepared by Legal Geek (e.g. guides), as well as premiere access to content produced by Legal Geek, in particular webinars, newsletters, podcasts and video recordings, and the possibility of active participation in online events organised by Legal Geek.
The Service is provided electronically, on the basis of these Terms, and consists of the delivery of previously ordered Information.
§ 2 Definitions
- Legal Geek
- Legal Geek Sp. z o.o. with its registered seat in Gdynia (81-451), al. Zwycięstwa 96/98, entered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register (KRS) by the District Court Gdańsk-Północ in Gdańsk, KRS no.: 0000615169, initial capital: PLN 10,000, NIP: 586 23 05 970, e-mail: info@legalgeek.pl.
- User
- an entity that has ordered the Service via the Website.
- Service
- the free Legal Geek Content service, ordered by the User, consisting of providing the User with Information.
- Information
- information of an informational, marketing or commercial nature provided to the User by Legal Geek, in particular practical guides developed by Legal Geek, information about new articles published on the Website, webinars, podcasts, events related to new technologies law, infographics or materials promoting Legal Geek.
- Website
- the website operated or used by Legal Geek, in particular the website available at the legalgeek.pl domain.
- Terms
- these Terms of providing the Service, constituting the regulations of the Service within the meaning of the Act on Provision of Electronic Services (Polish law).
§ 3 Service
In order to use the Service, the User shall provide their e-mail address through the dedicated, designated location on the Website. In the case of services based on SMS notifications, the User must also provide a telephone number.
Information is delivered to the User, to the e-mail address or telephone number provided when ordering the Service, with a frequency determined by Legal Geek.
In order to use the Service, it is necessary to have:
- a device providing access to the Internet, in particular one equipped with a web browser;
- an e-mail address;
- a mobile phone number – in the case of services based on SMS notifications.
The User is prohibited from providing content of an unlawful nature.
The User may opt out of the Service at any time. In order to terminate the contract, the User should:
- click the relevant link contained in the message sent as part of the Service; or
- send a message to: info@legalgeek.pl containing information about the intention to terminate the contract.
Complaints regarding the operation of the service may be submitted to: info@legalgeek.pl. Legal Geek shall consider complaints within 14 days of their receipt.
§ 4 Personal data
The controller of the personal data provided by the User is Legal Geek.
The User's personal data is processed in accordance with the Legal Geek privacy policy available at: https://legalgeek.pl/polityka-prywatnosci/
§ 5 Final provisions
Legal Geek shall be entitled to amend these Terms, only for important reasons, namely changes in the law, improvement of the Service's security or a change in the functional model of providing the Service.
Legal Geek shall notify the User of the intention to amend the Terms at least 7 days in advance, by means of a message sent to the User's e-mail address. Failure to object to the proposed amendments shall be tantamount to their acceptance. Before the proposed effective date of the amendments, the User has the right to terminate the contract with immediate effect. If the User objects to the proposed amendments but does not terminate the contract, the contract shall expire on the day preceding the entry into force of the proposed amendments.
Legal Geek communicates with the User in Polish, by means of e-mail or the telephone number provided by the User.
These Terms shall be governed by Polish law.
